Zoltán Pintér Trio
In addition to countless other formations, there is a need for an orchestra in which the pianist can free up his own ideas. The best way to do this is to rely on a rhythm section of excellent musicians that provides a pleasant environment for his ideas and participates inspirationally. These trios most often play standards A musician cannot be a real jazz musician unless he likes and plays standards. It is a common language that is perfectly understood everywhere in the jazz world.
After many attempts, the Pintér Zoltán Trio was formed in 2006, and it plays mainly jazz standard compositions following the traditions. Since the formation of the band, Elemér Balázs, who won the Szabó Gábor award, has been playing on the drum.
Other prominent artists have joined the trio, as Kriszta Pocsai, Tim Ries (USA), Attila László and Zoltan Zana.
János Egri played the double bass for the first 10 years, and since 2016 György Orbán has been playing the double bass, but János Egri as a guest artist continues to play in the trio with Krisztián Lakatos “Pecek” together.
